Renewing Minds, Restoring Hope – Because Healing Should Feel Safe, Real, and Within Reach
Yes! We provide secure telehealth sessions through Carepatron, allowing you to meet with your therapist from the comfort and privacy of your own space. All sessions are HIPAA-compliant and confidential.
You can begin by scheduling a free 15-minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit. We’ll discuss your needs, answer any questions, and help you take the first step toward renewing your mind and restoring your hope.
We accept some insurance plans. We are currently accepting Aetna, DC Medicaid, Maryland Medicaid, Cigna, Kaiser Mid-Atlantic, CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, and Optum.
We also offer self-pay options and can discuss sliding scale availability as needed.
Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, your goals, and what you hope to gain from this experience. It’s a relaxed, judgment-free space.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based approach that helps you heal from painful or distressing experiences that still affect you today.
It works by helping your brain process those memories in a healthier way, so they no longer trigger intense emotional or physical reactions.
EMDR doesn’t require you to talk in detail about the trauma. Instead, it helps your body and mind find balance and relief.
No. You’re always in control of what you choose to share.
Healing doesn’t mean revisiting every painful detail. It’s about finding ways to feel safe, empowered, and at peace in the present.
EMDR and other trauma-informed approaches can help you process emotions without retraumatizing experiences.
Our practice specializes in supporting Black women and women of color navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, relationship challenges, and the pressures of “being strong.”
We also welcome adults seeking emotional balance, healing from trauma, and personal growth in a culturally responsive space.
Most clients begin with weekly or bi-weekly sessions to build consistency and momentum. As you start to feel more grounded, we can adjust the frequency together based on your progress and goals.
The length of therapy depends on your needs and goals. Some clients find relief in a few months, while others benefit from ongoing support. We’ll review your progress regularly and adjust your treatment plan as needed.
That’s completely okay because you don’t have to know how it all works. Your therapist will guide you through the process, explain what to expect, and move at a pace that feels right for you.
Therapy isn’t about perfection; it’s about showing up for yourself.
